Abstract

The performance characteristics of a Ti:sapphire pumped cw intracavity optical parametric oscillator based on a 4.5-mm-long PP-RbTiOAsO4 (PPRTA) crystal are presented. It is shown that the device maintains PPRTA crystal at room temperature, and no degradation was observed due to photorefractive or thermal lensing effects, even in the presence of circulating pump fields as high as 54 W within the crystal. A total downconversion efficiency of 43% was attained.
