Abstract

The performance characteristics of a Ti:sapphire (TIS) pumped cw intracavity singly-resonant optical parametric oscillator (SRO) based on a 4.5mm-long PPRTA crystal are discussed. Coarse tuning of the SRO is achieved through pump tuning the TIS laser with the birefringent tuner. Signal wavelengths cover 1.13 to 1.27 μm with corresponding idler range of 2.53 to 3.26 μm, achieved with a total pump tuning range of 0.838 to 0.848 μm.
