Abstract

In this paper the imaging of extended targets by means of structured light and single-pixel detection is examined. In particular, different kinds of illumination patterns (discrete Hadamard; continuous sinusoidal; complex Laguerre-Gauss) are compared both numerically and experimentally in terms of obtainable resolution. Furthermore, a new approach for encoding the complex phase which allows to reduce the number of illuminations for a given resolution is presented.
