Abstract

The title compound, [ PtCl2( C8H11O2P)(2)], resides on a crystallographic twofold rotation axis and adopts a cis-square-planar geometry. Molecules are linked by C-H center dot center dot center dot Cl interactions forming one-dimensional chains along the [ 010] direction.
