Abstract

Capturing the Benefits of Requirements Engineering, by Pete Sawyer, Ian Sommerville, and Stephen Viller, pp. 78-85. All too often, software products fail to meet crucial customer requirements, and developers turn to existing software process improvement models for help. The authors show that SPI alone is not enough to implement or improve a requirements program. They have developed a method that builds on standard SPI practices and good requirements practice to ensure proper handling of requirements acquisition and management.
