Abstract
The syntheses of two bimetallic complexes [Fe-2(mu:sigma,sigma'-OCR)(2)(CO)(5)(PPh3)] [R = C6H3Me2-2,6 (1), (NPr2)-Pr-1 (2)] are described, the latter by a variety of routes. A comparison of the structural effects of the aroyl and carbamoyl. bridging ligands upon the unsymmetrically bridged diiron core follows from crystallographic studies on both complexes.
