Abstract

Metasurfaces (MSs) are the two-dimensional version of bulk metamaterials and they can be considered as structured interfaces that can be engineered to produce a desired scattering profile with exceptional accuracy and freedom of design [1]. This response is determined by the shape and distribution of their smallest constituents, called meta-atoms. The advantage of MSs is that they can implement incredibly complex photonic functions in just one thin surface.
