Abstract

In the title compound [systematic name: 4-iodophenylimino bis(2-nitrobenzenesulfinate)], C18H12IN3O8S2, where the molecules do not exhibit even approximate local symmetry, the molecules are linked into a complex three-dimensional structure by six independent C-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds, which utilize O atoms in nitro and sulfonyl groups as the acceptors.
