Abstract

The syntheses and structures of the 2,2′-bipyridyl and 1,10-phenanthroline adducts of the diborane (4) compound B₂ (1,2-S₂C₆H₄)₂ are described. In both cases, the bidentate nitrogen donor ligands bridge the B-B bond, one nitrogen being bonded to each boron.
