This project represents the fieldwork element for a case study of the British Overseas Territory, the Cayman Islands. The case study will be presented in a research paper to be contributed to a larger project the ‘Microstates in the Margins of Europe: Post-Colonial Sovereignty Games’ coordinated by members of the Department of Political Science, University of Copenhagen. The larger project analyses the political relationships between an overseas territory, the metropolitan state that is a Member of the European Union (Denmark, France, Netherlands, or United Kingdom) and the European Union itself. It will theorise the strategies used by each party in its relationships and negotiations with the other two parties, with the analysis will be supported by a set of case studies
