Description
In a collaboration with prof Peter Dervan we have explored the option of using polyamides as sequence specific minor groove binders to bring transition metal catalysts in the chiral environmetn of the double helix of DNA.
Key findings
Two tupes of ligands, i.e. dienes and phosphine, have been coupled to polyamides and meltiong point studies have shown that they effectively bind to DNA
