Nominations for Fellowships are solicited from a wide variety of disciplines including: anthropology, art, history, biology, classics, economics, education, geography, history, law, linguistics, literature, mathematics, statistics, medicine, music, philosophy, political science, psychology, psychiatry, and sociology and only 50 Fellowships are awarded each year. It is relatively rare for Fellowships to be awarded outside the USA.
