Personal profile
Research overview
Current research interests lie in the area of interpersonal violence in Scotland in the period 1700-1850 and what this has to tell us about changes in gender and family relations and social class in this era, paying particular attention to the impact of industrialisation. Ongoing interest remains in the impact of US direct inward investment on the Scottish economy and society in the period 1945 to 1970, with particualr attention on Dundee.
