Research overview

Victor is a PhD researcher in Sustainable Development with a focus on the intersection of conflict, fertility, and reproductive health in Sub-Saharan Africa. His doctoral research investigates the long-term demographic and socio-cultural consequences of armed conflict, particularly how exposure to violence influences fertility preferences, early marriage, and maternal health outcomes.

With a background in Demography (MSc, University of Southampton) and Sociology (BSc, Taraba State University), Victor has professional experience in academia, humanitarian programming, and development practice. He has led and supported community-based initiatives addressing conflict recovery, reproductive health, and resilience in Nigeria.

Victor is also a Commonwealth Scholar and a member of the British Society for Population Studies.
