Research overview
My research focuses on poetry and philosophy, particularly in the eighteenth century. I have written on the relationship between the writing and thinking of Alexander Pope and George Berkeley, and more recently have edited Pope's Essay on Man. I completed a biography of George Berkeley in 2021. Other interests include the human sciences in the Enlightenment, particularly the language sciences; contemporary poetry and poetics.

Contributions to editing the first two volumes of the Oxford Edition of the Writings of Alexander Pope.
