Research overview
Ting Ting is a PhD candidate in Chinese Studies in the School of Modern Languages. She received her master’s degree in Comparative Literature from the University of Edinburgh, where she developed her research interest in diasporic Chinese literature and identity representation.
Her PhD research explores the identity representation in contemporary Chinese Hui literature and its diasporic counterpart. The project aims to contribute to an understanding of how the power dynamics in socio-political and cultural contexts impact the perception and preservation of Hui identities through literary practices.
