Samira Bell is Professor of Medicine at the University of St Andrews, Scotland, UK and Consultant Nephrologist in Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. Her main research interest is using healthcare data to improve care of people with kidney disease. She is Associate Director of the BHF Data Science Centre Kidney Catalyst, NHS Research Scotland Renal Network Lead, previous Co-chair of the UK Renal Health Data Network and previous chair of the Scottish Renal Registry. Samira is a strong advocate for improving clinical academic career pathways and is currently Associate Postgraduate Dean for academic training at NHS Education for Scotland.
