Personal profile

Biography

I joined the University of St Andrews as a lecturer in 2024. My research lies at the intersection of urban, housing, and population studies, with a focus on residential segregation, mobility and migration (both internal and transnational), housing inequality, critical geography of education, and urban/regional governance. I earned my PhD in Urban Geography from the University of Amsterdam (UvA) in 2022, followed by around two years as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Hong Kong. My work employs both quantitative and qualitative methods. I also led a seed grant project, funded by UvA’s Center for Urban Studies, on the residential integration practices of Chinese immigrants in the Netherlands.
