Research overview

The research carrier of Dr. Madhumita Mukhopadhyay was initiated from CSIR funded The New Millennium Indian Technology Leadership Initiative (NMITLI) at CSIR-CGCRI, Kolkata, India in the area of Fuel cell, Development of Solid Oxide Fuel Cell technology.

Her PhD research topic was “Development of anode for high temperature fuel cell”. As a chemist, she have developed expertise in the research area of Hydrogen energy, Fuel cell, electrolyser cell,  Functional electrode materials and its applications, Electrochemistry, synthesis of functional materials like electrocatalyst, Materials Processing etc.
During her post-doctoral tenure as CSIR-Research Associate in Jadavpur University, research was focused on development on low temperature polymer electrolyte based solid state systems for applications in polymer electrolyte membrane etc.
She is associated with Editorial Board member for the Scientific Reports-Springer Nature (Nature Portfolio Journal), Guest Associate Editor in Inorganic Chemistry Frontiers Recent Advances and is a member of Royal Society of Chemistry. She is also associated as the Reviewer panellist of several journals of Elsevier, RSC and Wiley publications like International J of Hydrogen energy, Material Chemistry & Physcis, J. Mat Sc and Eng B, ChemCatChem, Chem Communication etc.

She is presently the member of Royal Society of Chemistry, UK, Premium member of Americal Chemical Society, Material Research Society of India & Asian Polymer Association 

In her present research endeavour with JTSI group at University of St-Andrews, UK, she would be carrying out research project in the area of Reversible fuel cells of various designs, functional electrode materials etc.
