Research overview

Keren Wang is a PhD candidate at the Handa Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence (CSTPV). She is working on a project on why the decision-making level of non-state actors adopts suicide attacks. She is also a postgraduate researcher affiliated with the St Andrews Institute for Gender Studies (StAIGS) and the Global Research Centre for Diverse Intelligences (GRCDI).

With an educational background in politics, international relations, and gender studies, she adopts interdisciplinary methods for her research. Her research interests include suicide terrorism, the socio-political and cultural factors that facilitate and affect suicide, gender and Critical Theory.
