Dr Kathryn Steven qualified from the University of Manchester with an MBChB (Hons) in 2008. She is currently Interim BSc Course Director and Clinical Lecturer at the School of Medicine, St Andrews. She works clinically as a General Practitioner in Fife.

Research overview

My Masters in Medical Education examined markers of widening participation in medicine. 

My MD thesis examined interprofessional education between medical and pharmacy students, using a realist approach.

Current research interests explore the role of lifestyle medicine, nutrition and planetary health, relating this to medical education. 

Teaching activity

Lecturer in clinical and communication skills to BSc students at the School of Medicine, St Andrews. 

Involvement in assessment which includes sitting on exam boards, writing questions and OSCE examining.
