Dr Katharina Hunfeld’s research and teaching focus on critical international political thought. The focus of her work and pedagogy centres on the climate crisis. She has research interests in decolonial, feminist and Marxist theory, the politics of time and temporality, as well as the entanglement of emancipatory struggles.
Kat is currently working on a book manuscript based on her doctoral research. This book project is an invitation to see global justice through the lens of (conceptual and temporal) relationality, combining insights from different traditions of radical thought. Featuring chapters on knowledge, capital, desire, ecology and time, the book asks: What does it take to think truly relationally about justice?
Kat is also a member of the editorial collective of the journal Historical Materialism, and always welcomes inquiries about submissions to the journal and its annual conferences.
