Personal profile

Biography

After finishing my Phd at the Centre for mathematical Plasma Astrophysics (KU Leuven, Belgium) on the topic of waves and instabilities from MHD to multifluid plasma models, I am now working in the Solar and Magnetospheric Theory Group (University of St Andrews, UK) with a focus on tearing instabilities and magnetic reconnection.

Research overview

My research interests include, but are not limited to,

  • tearing instabilities and magnetic reconnection in solar and astrophysical plasmas
  • multifluid plasma descriptions
  • magnetohydrodynamic spectroscopy with the Legolas code
  • machine learning applications
