Research overview

Religion and politics in the post-Soviet space, Europe and the USA. Politics and the arts, primarily music, though this is currently being developed through teaching with a eye on future research projects.

 

Member of the Centre for Russian, Soviet and Central and Eastern European Studies at the University of St Andrews.

Research interests

At present working primarily on issues relating to religion and politics in comparative perspective. I am currently writing a book on the political interventions of the Church of England in the post-war era, and separately focusing on the nature of religious establishment in comparative perspective.
