I have 25 years’ involvement in open access including various roles in St Andrews since 2010. My roles have covered the full range of Scholarly Communications and Open Research support activities from repository and metadata management, setting up and running the University’s Journal Hosting Service, open data and research data manaagement, copyright and licensing advice, funder compliance and REF support.
In my current role as Head of Open Research Support my remit is to lead in the development of policies and services to embed open research practice at the University, with a focus on Open Access and Publishing. Our Open Research services are based in the University Library, part of Libraries & Museums.
