Gray Black is a doctoral researcher studying queer political ecology within the School of International Relations at the University of St Andrews. As an environmental activist and a former mental health professional, Black’s work is supplemented by an intense desire to resolve—from macro to micro levels—the very essence of trauma: disconnection. Informed by their interdisciplinary BA (Summa Cum Laude) in International Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University and the University of Edinburgh and their MLitt (Distinction) in Global Social Political Thought at the University of St Andrews, their scholarship exists at nexus of ecosophy, anthrozoology, critical studies, and geopolitics. Black encourages questions, communion, and collaborations.
