Research overview
Florence Rogers is a PhD candidate at the University of St Andrews, supervised by Prof. Jason König and Dr. Emma Buckley. Her thesis explores the representations of fog in Latin literature and is using meteorology as a means to examine human-nature relationships. Florence obtained a Master of Arts degree (First Class Honours) and Bachelor of Laws and Arts (First Class Honours) from the University of Auckland. Her MA thesis, supervised by Dr. Maxine Lewis, was on the relationship of women, freedpeople, and slaves to the Capitoline Triad.
Florence's research interests lie in the natural world in Greco-Roman literature, Roman religion and Greco-Roman mythology.
