Personal profile

Research overview

My current research work focuses on the self-assembly of organic molecules, such as corrosion inhibitors and surface passivators, at either single crystal metal surfaces or bimetallic substrates. A combined experimental (VT-STM, XPS and vibrational spectroscopy HREELS and RAIRS, also supported by Synchrotron Radiation studies) and theoretical apporach (computational methods via software packages such as Gaussian, SIESTA and VASP) is a fundamental part of the research activity.
