Elizabeth (Ellie) Goings is a PhD student in the Institute for Theology, Imagination and the Arts at the University of St Andrews, where she is studying under the supervision of Dr Rebekah Lamb Varela. Her doctoral research focuses on Lilias Trotter's use of parable in her devotional artwork, and Trotter's artwork as an expansion to the Victorian evangelical imagination. More broadly, her research interests are in the intersection of art history, theology, and church history, particularly in the early twentieth century.
