Research overview

My research interests are mainly in ethics, and political philosophy: although I have a desire to try to branch out into writing some things on feminism and masculinity. My PhD tries to answer some applied questions about the ethics of sex and consent. E.g. What does it take to know that our partner(s) are consenting? How much due diligence do you need to do before having sex with a stranger? When are you responsible for causing harm to someone during sex because of something you didn’t know? Does sex require trust?

My primary supervisor is Theron Pummer and Liz Ashford is my secondary.

When I’m not doing philosophy I’m mostly playing Touch Rugby, trying to find cheap Lego on Ebay, or hiking. (Well actually I'm mostly sleeping but that sounds less interesing)
