Our research is in the general area of the application of metal containing compounds to the solution of a variety of problems, mainly in homogeneous catalysis or materials Chemistry.

Homogeneous Catalysis:

(a) Carbonylation Chemistry (b) Homogeneous Catalyst Recovery (c) Polymer Synthesis (d) Catalyst Testing - see http://chemistry.st-and.ac.uk/cats/

Other areas of research include main group organometallic compounds in materials synthesis, semiconductor quantum dots and the conservation of archaeological wood. See Conservation of Archaeological Material for more information.
