Biography

David is a PhD candidate at the University of St Andrews. Prior to this, he completed a MA (Hons) in International Relations as well as a MLitt in International Politial Theory. In addition to his research and teaching roles, David is one of the organisers of the St Andrews Graduate Conference in International Political Theory.

Research overview

David's research interests are broadly focused on international political theory, migration and border studies, citizenship, cruelty, and justice. In particular, David's current research focuses significantly on the (late) political thought of Judith Shklar, civil disobedience, and the conceptualisation of borders.
