Biography

Before moving to Scotland, Anne lived and worked in Berlin for five years, while studying American Studies and Art & Visual History at Humboldt University. Her first work experience as a studio assistant introduced her to the inner structures of the art world, market, and art production, and also ecological art. During her time in Berlin, she worked in several positions in the art world, including as an art mediator, gallery assistant, and research assistant, providing her with in-depth knowledge on the structures around art which continues to influence her analytical and critical approach. In her leisure time, Anne is an enthusiast for figurative painting, with a particular soft spot for maritime subject matters. Moreover, she is an avid reader and has recently discovered the joy of long walks and hikes on the weekends as they help to take her mind off mourning the closure of museums and continuously failing at successfully fermenting sweet tea. In the future, she hopes to write and publish regularly and expand her collection of artworks which is, at this point, predominantly constituted by much-loved pieces made and gifted by friends.
