Research overview
My research arises out of current interest in interpreting the Twelve Prophets – commonly called the Minor Prophets – as they are presented in the Jewish Bible: as a unified composition. That is, as 12 prophetic books compiled into a single corpus of writings in mutually interdependent relationship with one another. The question being investigated is: Does the Twelve’s intentional reuse of scripture suggest Hosea and Malachi (the first and last of the Twelve Prophets) form a literary frame for the Twelve? Does such a frame provide a heuristic guide for how the Twelve was designed to be interpreted?
