Personal profile
Research overview
I am currently undertaking a PhD titled 'Surveillance of the environment: monitoring ecological restoration and biodiversity in the Scottish uplands using Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles (UAVs)'
I will be exploring:
- How we can use UAVs to monitor ecological restoration in Scotland
- How to upscale satellite remote sensing data using UAV data to reduce costs and increase the scope of monitoring
- The ethical implications of surveilence from UAVs and how the data is used
This project is kindly funded by NETGAIN and supported by the project supervisors Dr Ian Lawson1, Dr Richard Streeter1, Prof Kirsty Ball2, Sarah Watts3, and Prof Brian Barrett4.
