Understanding our coastal environment and using the best available evidence to develop sustainable management solutions has never been more pressing. Rapid climate change coupled to population growth and increasing pressure to utilise coastal resources represent serious environmental, social and economic challenges globally. Policy makers, regulators, managers and coastal communities need to be able to respond and adapt these challenges. The multidisciplinary Coastal Resources Management Group (CRMG) has been formed specifically to bring together the necessary expertise and research capacity to help deliver both knowledge and solutions.
Based at the University of St Andrews, the CRMG draws upon decades of experience of working at the policy, regulatory, industry, science interface.
