Who is affected
The widespread availablity of the reconstruction will encourage more visitors to the Cathedral itself and therefore tourism.Providing the reconstruction to School children in Fife will allow them to connect with their own cultural heritage in a medium they are keen to use. This will also help in terms of the social benefits of being connected to the site.
Narrative
Virtual reality reconstruction of St Andrews Cathedral. The reconstruction is being offered to Historic Scotland for use on their website and on site in the museum.The reconstruction will be put on datasticks and given to Schools in fife as a new learning resource.
Issues of heritage management and issues of reconstruction of archaeological material are also important.
