Who is affected

Young people and their families.

Narrative

This PhD project examines health inequalities among young people in Scotland and investigates whether these are related to health outcomes in their early adulthood. We are utilizing data from the UK Censuses, Scottish Longitudinal Study, and Prescribing Information System. The results of this analysis will provide evidence of the formation of health inequalities during this formative life period. We will complement the interpretation of quantitative findings with the results from the systematic review that synthesises evidence on young people's conceptualisation of health.
