**About:** This repository contains the reproducibility pack for the EJPH Paper. "Using lifespan variation to better understand long-term trends in health inequalities in Scotland and Europe". The reproducibility pack contains all code, queried data, intermediate and final results to aligned to the main and supplementary results. We have split the reproducibility pack to provide two separate entities; one for the query and analysis of Human Mortality Database (HMD) data (part 1), and one for the area-level analyses for Scotland (part 2). For the query of HMD data, it is required to create an account with the platform.
