Description
The research carried out involved two experiments the first involved photonic crystal fibers and the second involved apperiodically poled lithium niobate crystals. The two files ‘Data_1.html’ and ‘Data_2.html’ are in html format and can be opened with an internet browser. These contain the raw data that was collected when using an avalanche photodiode to detect photons produced from a four-wave mixing interaction. The interaction was achieved using femtosecond pulses and a photonic crystal fiber. The data in ‘Data_3.zip’ is in a compressed format. This can be decompressed and then read using Excel. It can be imported into other software programs and in this project it was imported into Mathematica. The data was gathered in an experiment where two aperiodically poled lithium niobate crystals were used to create a nonlinear interferometer. The output light from this was detected using a spectrometer.
