Paired Fjord-Mouth and Near-Glacier CTD/AXCTD Profiles for 39 Greenlandic Fjords from 2016-2021 (dataset)

Dataset

Description

These CSV files contain auxiliary information used to process and analyse CTD/AXCTD data from the Oceans Melting Greenland (OMG) project (OMG, 2019, 2020). The data support the manuscript: “Greenland fjord processes have a depth-dependent influence on predicted submarine melt rates” (submitted to Geophysical Research Letters, April 2026).

The analysis compares CTD profiles collected near glacier termini with those collected at fjord mouths to investigate differences in water properties and their impact on predicted submarine melt rates.

The dataset collates fjord-scale information including OMG CTD/AXCTD filenames, sampling locations (latitude and longitude), time offsets between near-glacier and fjord-mouth CTD observations, as well as sill depths and grounding line depths from Mas e Braga et al. (2025) where available, and Morlighem et al., (2022) otherwise.
