Description
Biographical data collected on officers commissioned in The Black Watch between 01/06/1902 and 31/12/1919. This takes the form of a single file, consisting of 10 individual spreadsheets. The file can be opened with any spreadsheet software, (e.g., Microsoft Excel). Data was collected manually from the WO76, WO339 and WO374 series of officers' service records at the British National Archives, the 1901 and 1911 Censuses (National Archives), the Scotch Education Department's registers of leaving certificates (National Records of Scotland), and the rolls of service of the Universities of Oxford, Cambridge, Durham, St Andrews, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Glasgow.
