European Lost Frontiers Project The European Lost Frontiers (ELF) project is a series of marine cores from the North Sea to reconstruct the palaeoenvironment of the Late Pleistocene to late Holocene using a multidisciplinary approach including sedimentary ancient DNA (sedaDNA). In all 60 vibrocores were taken from the southern North Sea and sediment sampled for sedaDNA.
