Dataset

Description

At-sea distribution estimates (density maps) for grey and harbour seals on the Northwest European Shelf (NWES). Estimates are available at NWES-wide scale, as well as country-specific (UK, France, Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany and Denmark) scale. Additional UK resources are available including estimates per UK nation and dependency (England, Scotland, Wales, N. Ireland, Isle of Man, Channel Islands) as well as estimates for UK Seal Management Units and Special Areas of Conservation. Datasets are provided as rasters alongside interactive maps and a comprehensive use and interpretation guide.
