Title Why should Ukrainian literature be multilingual? Country/Territory United Kingdom Date 21/02/24 Description Undoubtedly, the war divided our lives into "before" and "after". And if you do this masochistic thing - sit down and start comparing these "after" and "before" - you will find striking differences. If you go a step further and start looking for the good in this "after" against the background of the "before", many of you will frown at the very idea. Really? Are you serious? Is it good when your life, which you have been building for years, was brazenly stolen from you? Is it good when your beautiful bubble of nice people, the right thoughts and a perfectly suitable environment, carefully filtered by you and life situations for decades, is instantly destroyed? But if you are a little more optimistic than usual and search hard, like Sherlock, there is something good in this endless and blurry "after", like a watercolour painting that was forgotten on the street. This, as well as the ways of development of Ukrainian children's literature that follow from our comparison operation, is what I would like to discuss in this short text.
