Yumiko Fujita Imanishi was delighted to deliver a presentation on her Exploratory Action Research and to participate in the plenary roundtable at TeacherResearch2026, the annual global celebration of English language teachers’ research hosted by the IATEFL Research SIG and MenTRnet on 14–15 March. She also attended the free IATEFL ReSIG / MenTRnet Professional Development workshop series, which ran from 29 September to 31 October 2025.
The event offered an inspiring opportunity to connect with educators and teacher‑researchers from around the world who are driving innovation in their classrooms and communities.
This year’s gathering highlighted the truly global scope of classroom‑based inquiry and professional growth, featuring:
Over 150 presentations showcasing teacher‑research from diverse educational contexts
58 mentors supporting teachers throughout their research journeys
Interactive talks and live Q&A sessions exploring classroom research and reflective practice
Yumiko is grateful to be part of this vibrant international community committed to inquiry, collaboration, and meaningful educational change.
