Yumiko Fujita Imanishi is delighted to have delivered her first in‑person presentation at TBLT in Asia Conference 2026, organised by the JALT TBLT SIG on 7 June 2026. The sixth TBLT in Asia conference was held at Waseda University in Tokyo for the first time, with nearly 120 presentations from 16 countries accepted after a record number of submissions. She was also pleased to meet a graduate of our university’s MA in TESOL programme during the event.

’Protocol for a Scoping Review of Participatory Action Research on Student Voice in Language Education' by Yumiko Fujita Imanishi and Jing Yun has been formally published in Research Synthesis in Applied Linguistics (Vol. 2, Issue 1, pp. 313–322). As of 9 June 2026, the online version had received 644 views since its online publication on 29 April 2026, suggesting growing interest in the topic. The authors hope that this review will contribute to ongoing discussions of student voice and participatory action research in language education and support future research in this emerging area.
