January 18 this year At the Institute of Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a meeting was held with the Dean of the Faculty of International Relations of the University of St. Andrews (UK), Dr. Filippo Costa Buranelli.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the state and prospects for the development of regional processes in Central Asia, new forms and principles of relations between the countries of the region, as well as the priorities of Uzbekistan in Central Asia.
The British expert was informed of Uzbekistan’s position on ensuring sustainable development and stability in the region.
Filippo Costa Buranelli highly appreciated the efforts of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to build a pragmatic
and constructive regional policy, including the expansion of cooperation ties in Central Asia.
Following the conversation, the parties expressed mutual interest in continuing the expert dialogue on strengthening Central Asian cooperation.
