Watching the eclipse of March 20 2015 at the St Andrews Nursery Centre

Outreach activity for very young children (aged 3-5) to witness the Solar eclipse of March 20. Using a small telescope with a projector and a pinhole camera, we watched the progress of the Solar eclipse and explained to the children how Solar eclipses occur.

Between 8:30-10:15, we set up a small telescope with a projector and a pinhole camera to observe the eclipse in the nursery outer yard. Using a model of the Earth and Moon and a flashlight, I explained how solar eclipses are produced.
