War, the “Military Revolution” and Incremental Change in Early Modern Europe

This was a two-part workshop on my field of international specialism that I led and taught at the invitation of Professor Soenke Neitzel of the History Department of the Universitaet Potsdam (Germany). Professor Neitzel and some 30 students on the Potsdam-UCD international programme of the MA in International War Studies participated. I lectured and took questions for 2 hours on Tuesday 8th Nov. and on the Friday 11th Nov. led a 2-hour discussion with this group. Students were also drawn from History, Political Science, International Relations and other degree programmes.
